LONDON (Dow Jones)--U.K. gross mortgage lending was unchanged in February from January as demand for mortgages held steady with first-time buyers seeking to take advantage of the government's home purchase tax holiday which ends Friday, figures from the Council of Mortgage Lenders show Tuesday.
